Comcast has launched three new channels to its subscribers in Denver on May 5. Comcast customers in Denver are offered following new channels:
Gran Cine – Channel 616
Sur Mexico – Channel 618 and
WAPA America – Channel 617
Comcast has plans to offer new high-definition channels in Denver in May and June.
Lifetime Networks is to bring first original comedy “Rita Rocks” as the network has placed order for seven additional episodes, bringing the first season order to 20. Produced by Media Rights Capital for Lifetime Television, “Rita Rocks,” was developed as a companion to Lifetime’s most popular comedy “Reba,” and “Rita Rocks” has either built on held the “Reba” audience for five of the first six original episodes. Repeats of the “Rita Rocks” episodes in different dayparts also have performed strongly.

Bloomberg Televison will begin its broadcast of “Venture” on Friday, Oct.3. Venture will be a half hour programs getting an inside look at the successful entrepreneur. Bloomberg Televison’s, first show will feature interviews with restaurateur and Executive Chef of BLT Restaurants Laurent Tourondel; Frederator Studios and Channel Frederator founder Fred Seibert; CitiStorage Founder Norm Brodksy; CEO and President of Innovation Fuels John Fox; Electric Car Inventor Founder & CEO Project Better Place Shai Agassi; and Jewelry Designer Helen Ficalora. Mike Schneider will host the show for Bloomberg Televison.
Health Media Network has announced that “The Wumblers” will be premiered on October 1, 2008. The series is produced by The Giddy Gander Company targeting U.S. Hispanic-Latino viewers and the program will be broadcast in English and Spanish. Health Media Network programming are broadcasted in hospitals and medical practices in the waiting rooms. Health Media Network reach millions of health-minded consumers, patients, and medical employees every month.

Comcast has announced the launch of two new high-definition channels in Harrisburg and Hershey, Pennsylvania market areas. A premier Live Internet broadcast Sports network, iBN Sports has launched Al Bernstein Boxing Channel (ABBC) over its iBN Sports network. A Hispanic Heritage Month celebration is to remember the contributions of Hispanic Americans to the United States and to celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture during September 15 and ending on October 15. NFL and ESPN will kick off Hispanic Heritage with a special celebration surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys Monday Night Football game on Monday, September 15 at 8:30 PM ET, ESPN and ESPN Deportes. This game is the signature event for the NFL’s “Fútbol Americano” initiative celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, and a signature event within ESPN’s month-long campaign and programming efforts on ESPN Deportes recognizing the accomplishments of Hispanics.
