DISH Network has announced the launch of local high-definition channels in Beaumont – Port Arthur, Texas. DISH Network last week has launched new satellite ‘EchoStar XI’ to go for HD expansion. Dish Network will be the first satellite TV provider to reach 100 HD channels on August 1, as they are planning to launch 17 HD channels. With the launch of local HD channels, DISH Network now offers local channels in 66 markets reaching more than 69 percent of U.S. TV households.

Comcast has added five new high-definition channels in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Comcast has already added Five HD channels in this area during April. Comcast now has more than 40 HD channels and stating that more channels are expected to be added soon. The HD channels added in Baltimore area :

Dish Network has successfully launched a new satellite ‘EchoStar XI’ lastweek to expand its high-definition programming. Dish Network’s satellite launch, AMC-14 during March failed to reach the orbit, which was a major set back for the satcaster. Even though DISH Network started delivering new HD channels and recently announced that they will launch 17 new HD channels on August 1 to be the first Satellite TV provider to reach 100 HD channels. Dish Network’s competitor DirecTV already has a satellite DIRECTV 11 in the orbit and expected to deliver new HD channels starting from September. Dish Network also have plans to launch another satellite before

the end of the year.

Time Warner delivers Three new high-definition channels in Waco/Austin, Texas on Thursday, July 17. Time Warner recently added new HD channels in many cities of Texas like Irving / Las Colinas. Time Warner’s new HD channels for the subscribers in Waco/Austin are :

Verizon FiOS TV has announced the launch of 22 new channels, including 15 additional high-definition channels in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. Customers in this area now receive 41 high-definition channels. Verizon’s FiOS TV has announced that they will end up the year with 150 HD channels. Following are the HD channels added :
